Foxconn, the prominent Taiwanese manufacturing company, has revealed its latest entries into the electric vehicle market – the MODEL B crossover hatchback and the MODEL V all-terrain electric pickup. Although primarily recognized as Apple's manufacturing partner, Foxconn has been increasingly active in the electric vehicle sector.
In an official statement, Foxconn highlighted the features of its electric pickup, describing it as a double-cab, 5-seat configuration with integrated sensors, electronic rearview mirrors, and a display screen. This integration enhances safety and provides intelligent technology to users, catering to various driving environments, from urban neighborhoods to rugged terrains.
Foxconn confirmed that the electric pickup will undergo manufacturing in Taiwan, Thailand, and the United States. However, specific details regarding the motors and batteries have not been disclosed. For context, Foxconn's upcoming Model C, set for production next year, is touted to offer a range exceeding 430 miles, accelerate from zero to 60 mph in around 3.8 seconds, and possess a sleek 0.28 coefficient of drag.
