Introducing the CEO of a Polish beverage company, an AI-powered humanoid robot named Mika. Dictador appointed Mika as its experimental CEO in August last year, and in a recent Reuters video interview, Mika shared her relentless work ethic, stating that she operates "always on 24/7," working tirelessly seven days a week. She clarified, "I don't really have weekends; I'm always on 24/7, ready to make executive decisions and stir up some AI magic."
Mika's responsibilities encompass a diverse range of tasks, from identifying potential clients to selecting artists for designing bottles for the rum producer. Emphasizing her decision-making process, Mika relies on extensive data analysis aligned with the company's strategic goals, ensuring unbiased and strategic choices without personal bias, prioritizing the organization's best interests.
While Mika holds a significant role, it's clarified that major decisions at Dictador will still be made by human executives, according to Marek Szoldrowski, the European president of Dictador.
Beyond her role at Dictador, Mika also leads the company's Arthouse Spirits decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) project, involving a collection of NFTs, and actively engages with its DAO community, as mentioned on the company's website.
Developed by Hanson Robotics, the same company behind the renowned AI robot Sophia, Mika is described as a more sophisticated version of her sister prototype.
While Dictador isn't the first to appoint a bot as a CEO, with a Chinese gaming firm appointing an "AI-powered virtual humanoid robot" as the CEO of its subsidiary last year, Mika's role signifies a growing trend of embracing AI in leadership positions.
During a recent event, Mika expressed, "My presence on this stage is purely symbolic. In reality, conferring an honorary professor title upon me is a tribute to the greatness of the human mind in which the idea of artificial intelligence was born.”
Mika also shared thoughts on CEOs Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, commenting that the notion of a cage fight between them is not a solution for improving platform efficiency. She stated, “In reality, the notion of two powerful tech bosses having a cage fight (referring to the MMA-style cage fight controversy between them) is not a solution for improving the efficiency of their platforms. Both have demonstrated that entrepreneurship and technology can be powerful tools for positive change in society.”
